Chennai: A team of specialist doctors is providing intensive treatment to Kolathur constituency TVK MLA V.S. Babu, who has been admitted to MGM Hospital in Chennai.
V.S. Babu is the TVK MLA from Chennai’s Kolathur constituency. He became widely known across Tamil Nadu after contesting against DMK leader M.K. Stalin in that constituency and winning. While participating in the legislative assembly session that had been going on for a month, he experienced breathing difficulty on the night of the 9th of last month.
Following this, he was admitted to MGM Healthcare Hospital on Nelson Manickam Road in Chennai’s Aminjikarai. He has been admitted to the intensive care unit, and a multidisciplinary team of doctors is treating him with ventilator support as needed. On the 23rd, actor Vijay went to the hospital and met V.S. Babu to inquire about his health.
He also inquired with the doctors about the treatments being given to him and about his progress. Since various pieces of information about V.S. Babu’s health had been appearing from time to time on social media, the hospital administration had been officially releasing reports on his condition. However, as no reports have been released for more than the past 10 days, various pieces of information about his health are once again appearing on social media.
Meanwhile, as reports emerged that a tracheostomy device had been fitted in the neck area to help V.S. Babu breathe, when his side was contacted and asked about it, they said, “No such device has been fitted. V.S. Babu is in good health.”
