Chennai: The Electricity Board has said that employees’ medical certificates must be submitted for appointments on compassionate grounds in the Electricity Board.
Regarding this, the circular sent by the Electricity Board to all Chief Engineers states: When considering the legal heirs of applicants seeking employment on compassionate grounds, the employee’s medical certificate must be submitted only in the prescribed form recommended under Board Service Rule No. 84.
Furthermore, medical certificates issued to employees under the age of 55 citing general reasons such as old age or natural physical weakness will not be accepted.
A special verification checklist has been provided to avoid delays in these procedures and to follow a uniform, consistent process across the state.
All documents submitted by the applicants must be properly registered. In particular, the applicant must sign on every page of the no-objection certificate and affidavit forms signed by all family members.
For heirs who have not completed 18 years of age, a separate special register must be maintained. In it, details such as the employee’s information, date of birth, date of application, and the date on which the heir turns 18 must be accurately recorded.
