Chennai: Kolathur TVK MLA V.S. Babu has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after suddenly developing breathing difficulty.
In the Chennai Kolathur constituency, V.S. Babu is the one who contested on behalf of TVK and won against DMK leader M.K. Stalin. He had been participating in the recently concluded Assembly session over the past month, and it is said that he had been suffering from increased chest congestion for the past few days.
While resting at his home, V.S. Babu suddenly developed breathing difficulty the night before last. Following this, his family immediately took him to a private hospital in Chennai’s Ayanavaram.
After examining him, the doctors admitted him to the intensive care unit and are providing intensive treatment with the help of a ventilator. Upon learning of this, TVK functionaries and workers are inquiring about his health.
Meanwhile, in the medical bulletin issued by the hospital administration regarding V.S. Babu’s condition, it said, “MLA V.S. Babu, who was admitted due to a respiratory disorder, is under the direct supervision of a medical team comprising specialists from multiple disciplines in the intensive care unit.
The necessary medical management and respiratory support treatments are being continuously provided to him. At present, his condition is stable,” it stated.
The Chief Minister inquired about his health
Finance Minister Marivilsan visited the hospital and inquired about V.S. Babu’s health. Later, speaking to reporters, he said, “V.S. Babu has been affected by a cold-related problem and is undergoing treatment.
He is currently in good health. Chief Minister Vijay and Minister N. Anand contacted Babu by phone and inquired about his well-being,” he said.
