On the occasion of Pasumpon Thevar Guru Pooja, former Chief Minister Stalin paid his respects in Pasumpon. Speaking to reporters afterward, he said, “He stood by the freedom struggle. He fought against the oppressive British laws. He served as both a legislative assembly member and a parliament member and worked excellently for the welfare of the people.
In 2024, I inaugurated the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Hall. In 2007, his centenary celebration was celebrated very grandly by Leader Kalaignar, who was then the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Likewise, in the Goripalayam area, through the tireless efforts of the highly respected Mookkaiya Thevar, Leader Kalaignar fulfilled the dream of having a statue erected for Pasumpon Thevar. Leader Kalaignar honored him by naming the Madurai Aandalpuram bridge after Thevar.
So many welfare works and projects have been carried out during the period of the party’s rule.
One must not be a coward. Devar’s saying that one must fight and win still remains etched in my heart as a sacred saying even today. Through you, I want to state at this moment that we will certainly follow the path he showed us.
All the people who voted wanting this government to come to power are now in a state where they longingly ask, “When will this government end?” Just by looking at the interviews given by ordinary people on social media, one can understand the true state of the country.

The prices of essential goods are rising like poison. Law and order in the state has completely broken down and is being openly mocked. Sexual violence and crimes against girls are increasing. Reports of people suddenly going missing keep coming in as well.
Not only that, even prisoners in jail are in a position to escape. The people who voted, believing that the person who has taken charge as Chief Minister would perform well in real life too because he had acted as a hero in films, are now completely disappointed.
He comes in at 9 in the morning and leaves at 5 in the evening, as if he were going to some office every day wearing a coat and suit. Whether we support Seeman or not can be discussed after the election date is announced.
The government has not performed well enough to be given a score for its five months in office. We have legally challenged the raids conducted on DMK functionaries and the actions of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC).

We will go to court and prove that we are not guilty. We have no concern about any of this. We are the ones who stood against the Emergency; we have faced harsh laws like MISA, TADA, and POTA. So none of this is a big deal for us. When it is time to face anything, we will face it bravely," he noted.
