Alleging that "vote chori" (vote theft) was taking place in the election process and demanding that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resign, leaders of the INDIA alliance held a massive protest march in Delhi yesterday. Key leaders gathered at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, including Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool Congress leaders Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) leader M.A. Baby, CPI leader D. Raja, CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah, and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti.
From there, they set off, came to Minto Road, and from the Delhi Minto Road-Connaught Place junction, marched in an open vehicle with thousands of volunteers toward Ramlila Maidan. In this protest rally, which began with the slogan “Save the vote, save the nation,” thousands of volunteers and youth wing members participated in large numbers, carrying the flags and banners of the 'India' alliance parties.
By 1:30 p.m., the Ramleela Maidan area had turned into a sea of people, with crowds of workers who had arrived in Delhi in advance from various states. They raised fierce slogans against the Modi government and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The day before this rally, a parliamentary-style meeting was held at Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence.
At the meeting, chaired by former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, opposition MPs, leaders, and social activists participated and symbolically brought a "Public Impeachment" against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. It is noteworthy that the leaders, accusing him of tampering with the election by deleting votes and committing fraud, also insisted that a treason case be filed against him and that he be imprisoned.
Regarding this rally, BJP MP Sambit Patra said, “Rahul Gandhi is speaking. But the chairs are empty. The Congress could not even fully fill the Ramlila Maidan, which has a capacity of only 50,000 people. This is a super flop rally. Since yesterday morning, we have been watching this rally and Rahul Gandhi’s speech. But in the end, it seems like a ‘complete waste of time.’ Where are the 10 lakh people they claimed? Show them to us. No one can become a leader or a prime minister through such tricks.”

'PM' does not mean just 'Prime Minister.' P stands for 'Paseena' (sweat), and M stands for 'Mehnat' (hard work). It is through sweat and hard work that a Prime Minister is made. Even after bringing together so many parties and flags, they still could not gather 1 million people. The opposition has been resorting to photo tricks, using camera angles to make the crowd look bigger.
Rahul ji, Hindustan is not your great-grandfather's property. Hindustan belongs to Indians. Here, even a tea seller can become Prime Minister—that is what irritates you," he also lashed out.
