New Delhi: The INDIA alliance has announced that a massive rally will once again be held today (Nov. 1) at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Regarding this, Neha Bora, president of the left-wing student wing All India Students’ Association (AISA), said in a post on her X social media account that people should participate in the INDIA alliance’s rally. Gyanesh Kumar should resign, and the SIR measures should be stopped.
The law enacted in 2023 must be repealed. For this, our student movement will come to Ramlila Maidan on November 1. To protect the right to vote and safeguard the sanctity of democracy, I request everyone to come to Ramlila Maidan,” he said.
Abhijit Dipke, the leader of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), had already expressed support for the India Alliance rally. With Diwali approaching, and despite a request from Delhi’s traders’ association, Rahul refused to postpone the Ramlila rally.
It was announced that this rally would cause a loss of Rs. 12,000 crore to Delhi traders. Even after Congress senior leader Sonia Gandhi and traders’ associations wrote letters about this, it does not seem to have had any effect.
In this regard, on October 9, leaders of the INDIA alliance met the President and submitted a petition. The INDIA alliance is planning to meet her again.
