So far, 6 cases have been registered against Veeramani in this connection.
Meanwhile, shocking allegations have been emerging one after another that senior police officials are also involved in the matter of extorting money by threatening Veeramani.
Following this, former Chennai Police Commissioner Arun and Kannan, who had been the Additional Commissioner of South Chennai, were moved to the waiting list. In this situation, the special investigation team conducted an intensive inquiry with IPS officers Arun and Kannan for more than three hours.
Why did they try to bring the Gem Veeramani case to a close? Was there any pressure for this in the case? More than 80 questions were also asked about this, and written answers were obtained from both of them. It is said that, following this inquiry, many extortion brokers are likely to get caught as well.
Meanwhile, a list has been prepared of those who threatened Gem Veeramani and extorted money from him. Based on that, the Special Investigation Team has taken the next step. As a result, this case has started heating up again.
