Chennai: In the by-elections for the Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly constituencies, TVK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has appealed, “Reject the evil force and the exhausted force that have been deceiving us all this time.”
In a statement issued by him on this, he said, “Greetings to everyone who lives in my heart. In the last Assembly election, you showered us with unmatched affection and a huge number of votes that had not been given to anyone else, turned back the course of history by making victory ours, and placed me as your first servant. This is the time to repay my debt of gratitude to you.
No amount of thanks would be enough for all the people of Tamil Nadu who have established a truly conscientious democracy.
The government currently in place is one led by you, the people of Tamil Nadu. For this government to continue and grow stronger, your support is always needed.
On the 25th of last month (25.09.2026), we campaigned in the Madurantakam constituency for the by-election, and on the 30th (30.09.2026) in the Dharapuram constituency. Following this, on the 2nd (02.10.2026) we carried out vehicle campaigning in the Madurantakam constituency, and today (04.10.2026) in the Dharapuram constituency.
When we came here for this by-election campaign, the welcome extended to us by the people of Chengalpattu district, and the love and affection shown to us by the people of Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts, were beyond comparison. It is something that will remain in my heart forever. No matter how much I thank you for this, it would still not be enough. For this, we are indebted to you for life.
In the upcoming by-elections for the Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly constituencies, you will reject the evil force and the exhausted force that have deceived us for so long; you will support the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam candidates contesting on behalf of the Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance;
The whole nation knows that you will cast your precious votes for our whistle symbol, the symbol of victory for Maragatham Kumaravel of the Madurantakam constituency and Sathiyabama of the Dharapuram constituency. For that, I express my heartfelt gratitude to you in advance.
I also extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved, including the event organizers who arranged this election campaign event, election observers, election in-charges, ministers, district party administrators, the team of volunteers who provided full cooperation, the police department, medical teams, sanitation workers, and the general public.
We, the primary force for the people of Tamil Nadu, will never compromise on anything, at any time, in order to protect the welfare of the people. We will continue, as we do now, to uphold a conscientious democracy with honest governance free of bribery and corruption. We reiterate this once again.
People of the Dharapuram and Madurantakam constituencies, do not forget that the only symbol you all must vote for is your victory symbol, the whistle symbol,’ he said.
