A JDU MLA’s statement that he killed 9 people for Bihar’s former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has sparked controversy.
In last year’s Bihar विधानसभा election, the National Democratic Alliance led by Nitish Kumar, the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Congress-led Mahagathbandhan, and Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party were in the fray. In this election, the National Democratic Alliance achieved a historic landslide victory.
During the election campaign, Dularchand Yadav, the uncle of Jan Suraaj Party worker Priyadarshi Piyush, who was contesting from the Mokama constituency, was shot dead in a clash with JD(U) candidates. In this incident, MLA Anant Singh was arrested and later released on bail.
MLA Anant Singh has stirred controversy by making a sensational remark that he killed nine people to help the early political journey of Nitish Kumar, the former Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of the Janata Dal (United) party.
The Legislative Council election for the Patna Graduate constituency is scheduled to be held on Oct. 23. In this election, Neeraj Kumar is contesting on behalf of JD(U), and Anuj Singh is contesting on behalf of the Jan Suraaj Party.
Due to the conflict between Neeraj Kumar and JD(U) MLA Anant Singh, Anant Singh has expressed his support for Jan Suraaj Party's Anuj Singh.
In this situation, MLA Anant Singh took part in Anuj Singh’s vote-gathering campaign event. Speaking then, he said, “I have made huge sacrifices for Nitish Kumar during the early years of his political career. No one else in the party has made sacrifices like I have for him (Nitish Kumar).
I killed nine people to help Nitish Kumar’s early political journey. I am a staunch supporter of Nitish Kumar. I have never been against his leadership. However, my loyalty to Nitish Kumar has not changed. I will ensure Anuj Singh’s victory in the election,” he said.
Earlier, during the legislative assembly election campaign, he won by securing around 91,000 votes while in prison after killing a candidate’s relative. On Feb. 3, he was brought in a prison van and sworn in as an MLA. In this situation, a video in which he says that he has committed 9 murders has caused a major controversy in politics.
Mokama MLA Anant Singh stirred up a fresh controversy on Friday when he claimed that he had got ‘nine people murdered’ to help former Bihar chief minister and JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar during the latter’s initial political journey.
