Chennai: “In the case related to the corruption in the appointment of government lawyers, the Madurai Bench of the Chennai High Court has thoroughly exposed the TVK government. The High Court has delivered a stinging rebuke to Vijay’s government, which tried to cover up the corruption,” said DMK Organising Secretary R.S. Bharathi.
In a statement issued today on this, he said, “The court has torn away and exposed the mask of the TVK government, which had put on the guise of a noble administration that would eradicate corruption.
As soon as it came to power, several complaints arose that the TVK government had begun collecting party funds in the appointment of government advocates. A lawyer named Gnanasundari, who belongs to TVK, filed a case in the Chennai High Court alleging that between 5 lakh and 30 lakh rupees were collected in government advocate appointments.
Regarding this corruption, DMK deputy organizing secretary P. Thaayagam Kavi filed a complaint with the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), demanding that the Tamil Nadu anti-corruption department investigate. But what did the noble ones who came to eradicate corruption do? They expelled the lawyer who filed the complaint from the party and tried to cover up the case.
Recently, an audio clip from TVK functionary Anees surfaced, shocking many, in which he was heard negotiating bribes of up to 15 lakh rupees for government advocate appointments in Kanyakumari district. In a case filed by a person named Jagan Raj regarding this, the Madurai Bench of the Chennai High Court strongly criticized the TVK government.
The court has ordered that the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption must immediately investigate this complaint, asking, “Do they want to become lawyers by paying bribes?” and “Will they save the country or protect the law?”
In addition, the court directly criticized the Anti-Corruption Department’s sluggish functioning, asking, “Even though a complaint regarding the corruption in the appointment of government lawyers was sent to the Anti-Corruption Department in advance, why have they still not begun an investigation? If a complaint comes in, won’t you investigate? Even though there is audio evidence related to bribery, why have you still not registered a case and conducted an investigation?” The High Court has delivered a sharp rebuke to the Vijay Sarkar government, which tried to cover up the corruption.
Reports are coming in that bribes worth several crores of rupees were taken through this government prosecutor appointment scam. Was this several-crore amount collected for the TVK party fund? Will the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption investigate this? Will the anti-corruption department raid the home of the Law Minister responsible for this?
To preserve the image they had been projecting as “pure power,” they had been using the anti-corruption department as a branch organization of TVK. But today, the Madurai Bench of the High Court has exposed the true nature of this “pure power.” It has become clear that they are not pure power; TVK is a thieving force.
Was all this unnecessary tag diversion politics by RSS Nirmal Kumar just to hide this mega scam? Does Minister Nirmal Kumar, who distracts people by hurling slander without answering any questions, have answers to the questions the court will ask?
Where did Vijay sir, who posed as a saint, go? Why didn’t he investigate when the complaint about the government advocate appointment scam came in? Will the Anti-Corruption Department at least now investigate the complaint filed by the DMK? Or are you going to wait for the court to order that too?
You said there was a file on the table. But in reality, it is on the court’s table that the corruption files created by TVK members are lying. The court has now opened one of them. Soon, each and every corruption of the TVK government will come out.
Tamil Nadu has now fallen into TVK’s hands, like giving the house key to a thief. Soon, the people of Tamil Nadu will teach this rogue group a fitting lesson,” he said.
