The 148th birth anniversary of Thanthai Periyar and a felicitation ceremony for establishing Periyar Arivulagam were held on behalf of the Dravidar Kazhagam at Coimbatore’s V.O.C. Ground.
At this event, which was presided over by Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani, DMK president M.K. Stalin participated and delivered a speech.
Speaking then, he said, “This event is an affectionate kiss from the mother to the child, given by the Dravidar Kazhagam, the mother organization of the DMK. Rather than taking this as praise for the achievements of the Dravidian model government, we take it as encouragement for the work that still remains to be done.

As a symbol of the knowledge revolution, we have created books and libraries under the DMK government. During the one-year MISA period, I was under the protection of K. Veeramani. He is the one who also counters the criticism and attacks against me.
We have established Periyar Arivulagam not only as an identity of Coimbatore, but also as an identity of Tamil Nadu. This Periyar Arivulagam stands as an unforgettable achievement for me. Periyar was the one who shaped the Tamil Nadu we see today; establishing an Arivulagam in his name is our duty, and it was not done in expectation of gratitude.
At present, project works are being stopped in Tamil Nadu without any announcement, and the same situation should not be allowed to happen to the libraries in Salem, Nellai, and Cuddalore.

Chief Minister Vijay has come on the date the astrologer said and inaugurated the Periyar intellectual center. He even follows the astrologer’s advice on what clothes the Chief Minister should wear, what bindi he should put on, and which direction the Chief Minister’s office should face.
They said there was only one power center. But it is the corporate power center behind him that is running everything with the Chief Minister as a front. Those who voted for this government to come to power are now the ones lamenting.

This government has not even been able to fix the power outage problem. Even during the Vice President’s visit, there was a power shortage. People are suffering even in crematoriums without electricity. The electricity contracts that were made at lower prices during the DMK regime have been canceled. Electricity is being bought at higher prices in the open market. Power cut drama is being staged artificially for this very reason.
It looks like, just as a party has several wings including a youth wing, TVK will have separate wings for sexual offenders and drug offenders. The Chief Minister pretends to go to work from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and even gets two days off for that. Uncle Vijay, this is not a film shooting.
Using the Tiruchi election as an excuse, they are repeatedly conducting raids at former minister Nehru’s house. The DMK will never be afraid; the more they pressure us, the more we will rise. That is the DMK’s DNA. Does the Chief Minister take responsibility for any mistake? In the case of TVK functionary Bhoopalan, who was found in possession of methamphetamine, shouldn’t Uncle Vijay give an explanation? What action did he take? Why did the state police not take action?

He is running away without meeting the journalists. Not actor Vijay, but Chief Minister Vijay should answer the people. He gets on a van and speaks once in a blue moon, once in a while. Can by-elections be held frequently just so he can speak?
After 30 years, they have created history by letting 17 prisoners escape. He says he will open the file, and then opens the jail. I have never seen such a weak Chief Minister before. Under the DMK government, Tamil Nadu, which was the country’s leading economic state, has now been turned upside down.

People from all walks of life are struggling due to rising electricity bills and rising prices. But the Chief Minister, dressed in a coat and suit, is going to neighboring states to offer remedies.
Using in politics the same formula he used to win as an actor by spreading slander about fellow actors on social media, Vijay has won once, but he cannot deceive the people of Tamil Nadu a second time; the tears of the people will not allow this regime to return again.
There is now a red alert for the T.V.K. government; it would be better for Tamil Nadu to put an end to this regime. People should realize the truth instead of blindly believing the ruling party’s fake propaganda and influencer videos.
Just as darkness fears light, lies tremble before rationalist forums and libraries. In the same way, T.V.K. members are afraid when they see a library,” he said.
