An Instagram celebrity has left home because followers kept sending gifts.
Veeramani is popular on Instagram for posting humorous videos and videos that insult others. Many of his videos are widely shared for his Madurai-style way of speaking.
More than 100,000 people follow him on Instagram. The strange nuisance recently caused by his followers has gone viral on social media.
He has separate social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. A few days ago, he had posted a video asking for money to go on a trip to Kerala. In it, Veeramani had shared a QR code asking people to transfer money to his bank account.
People sent him up to Rs. 6,000, and he shared his travel videos on social media.
After this, Veeramani shared his home address, asking his followers on Instagram to send him a “sweet box.” That turned out to be his undoing.
Netizens, as a prank, have sent him many items through online shopping sites like Amazon and Flipkart using the ‘cash on delivery’ method.
From early-morning milk delivery to TVs and refrigerators, they have ordered and sent him countless items worth lakhs through the ‘cash on delivery’ method.
As a result, he became irritated and kept posting videos expressing his frustration, saying, “Why are you sending so many items? Please do not send anything like this.”
However, at one point, the prank went too far and more than a hundred items were delivered in this manner, and it is said that the delivery personnel began treating him harshly when they came to deliver them.
As the climax of this, Veeramani had posted an angry video sharing a screenshot sent by someone claiming that a cannon had been ordered for Rs. 70 lakh. Likewise, he had also released a video saying that someone had shared his phone number at a kidney center, claiming he was willing to donate a kidney.
Following this, he left his house, saying that the person coming to deliver it was going to attack him, and posted that he was going out of town. The video he recently shared in this regard has gone viral on social media.
While some have criticized that delivery workers are being bothered by such playful antics, many people are taking it humorously and continue to send him items.
