Lucknow: “Under the Rani Laxmibai Scooty Scheme, free scooters will be provided next month to 50,000 female graduates who completed their undergraduate degree in the 2025-26 academic year,” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced.
Speaking at a scholarship distribution event held in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said: In the current financial year, more than 4.6 lakh students from Classes 9 and 10 have received scholarship and tuition fee amounts totaling over Rs. 148 crore in their bank accounts.
Earlier, only 60 to 70 out of every 100 students received scholarships. Students were cheated because some people, including writers, obtained that money fraudulently. In the past, the travel expenses students incurred to receive the scholarship were higher than the amount they ultimately received.
Now, the government has taken steps to ensure that each student’s scholarship is deposited directly into their bank account. Uttar Pradesh students no longer need to go to other states to prepare for exams like JEE and NEET.
At present, young people are benefiting from this through the Chief Minister’s Abhyudaya Coaching Scheme. Under the Rani Laxmibai Scooty Scheme, free scooters will be provided next month to 50,000 female graduates who completed their undergraduate degree in the 2025-26 academic year. Chief Minister Adityanath said this.
