New Delhi: The NIA charge sheet states that Umar, the terrorist who carried out the car bomb explosion at Delhi’s Red Fort, had initially planned to attack a Jain temple, but changed the plan at the last minute due to traffic congestion. On November 10 last year, 11 people were killed in a car bomb explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. Many others were seriously injured.
Regarding this terrorist attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted an intensive investigation and filed a 7,500-page chargesheet in the Delhi Special Court last May. The Special Court recently took it up for hearing.
In the charge sheet filed by the NIA, it has been revealed that “while examining the movements of suicide bomber Umar Nabi, who carried out the car blast, it was found that he had initially planned to carry out an attack on Lal Mandir, the oldest Jain temple in Delhi. However, due to traffic congestion in central Delhi and police surveillance, he was forced to change the plan at the last minute.
Accordingly, while he was heading toward Lal Mandir in a car loaded with explosives, he made a U-turn and reached the Red Fort. A few minutes later, he detonated the explosives,” it said.
A bomb from urine..
Furthermore, the charge sheet stated that in PDF files found on pen drives belonging to Nabi and his associate Shaheen Saeed, there were instructions on how to make explosives using urea nitrate.
It also mentioned a method for extracting urea from urine. A woman testified that she saw a polythene bag filled with urine in Nabi’s room. Through this, it was confirmed that Nabi had been involved in an attempt to make a bomb from urine,” it said.
