Public Works Minister Aadhav Arjuna has condemned the DMK functionary for speaking disparagingly about Chief Minister Vijay.
In the condemnation statement he issued on this, he said, “During the time of Thanthai Periyar, political platforms were schools that taught rationalism. During the time of scholar Anna, they were universities that nurtured political knowledge. But after Anna, DMK political platforms turned into platforms for personal attacks.
Moreover, the current platforms of the DMK, functioning under the leadership of M.K. Stalin, have become disgusting platforms that spread only obscene speech, vulgar words, and defamatory remarks.”
Moreover, the DMK, having lost the 2026 Assembly election and shut itself away at home, is expressing its helplessness and resentment in every move it makes. Among these, it has been using social media and political platforms as a polluted arena to personally launch obscene attacks on political parties opposed to the DMK and on the leaders of those political parties.
In that regard, a woman speaker who spoke at the public meeting held in Chennai on behalf of the DMK women’s wing and women volunteers’ wing is criticizing Chief Minister Vijay in a very vulgar manner. Mayor Priya, who is holding the responsible post of Chennai city mayor and is on the stage, is laughing and enjoying it, clapping her hands.
Kanimozhi, who is both the DMK’s parliamentary party leader and the DMK’s deputy general secretary, is bowing her head and remaining silent. On the one hand, she has not condemned that speaker; on the other hand, the standard of today’s DMK platforms is such that even Mrs. Kanimozhi herself has to bow her head and shrink in embarrassment, unable to bear listening to the speeches made by her own party members.
I strongly condemn this. Furthermore, I emphatically insist that such indecent acts by the DMK must be immediately prevented through legal means. Only then will democracy and healthy politics be strengthened. Therefore, legal action must be taken immediately against the woman speaker who spoke indecently on the DMK stage.
DMK leader M.K. Stalin, who keeps talking only in words about civilized politics and decent politics, is, as usual, merely watching this as entertainment without condemning any of it. Or, to the question, “Is he himself listening to and enjoying such vulgar remarks and encouraging them?” he alone must answer.
However, such slander and obscene speech cannot tarnish or obscure the name and reputation of Chief Minister Vijay, who has emerged as Tamil Nadu’s new hope.
But it is certain that because of such obscene actions by the DMK, that party and its leadership will be completely wiped out from the hearts and homes of the people of Tamil Nadu!
Once upon a time, DMK members grew the party with the elegant idioms of beautiful Tamil, but today they are trapped in vulgar speech, obscene sentences, and crude words. Unable to discipline them or find a way to grow the party, the party leader M.K. Stalin is also wandering aimlessly, not knowing which way to turn.
“DMK members have forgotten Periyar’s principles of rationalism, self-respect, and social justice, as well as the code laid down by Perarignar Anna for politics—duty, dignity, and discipline. It is only by rising above such slander and obscene talk from them that Vijay has won a lasting victory in Tamil Nadu’s political arena and in the hearts of the people of Tamil Nadu; at least remember that he is going to keep winning,” he said.
