Lucknow: Just like Lord Curzon in 1905 and Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1947, the Congress party and the INDIA alliance are now trying to divide the country in order to realize their dreams of a ‘change of power,’ Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said.
The Congress-led INDIA alliance has been holding a series of protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and against the central government. In response to these protests, rallies are being held across the country on behalf of the BJP and the National Democratic Alliance under the banner “Save Democracy; Eliminate Anarchy.”
The rally held today (Nov. 3) in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, was led by senior BJP leader and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Many people, including Uttar Pradesh BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, took part in it.
The rally was held on the main streets of Lucknow city. Carrying the national flag and the BJP flag in their hands, they marched while raising slogans such as “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
Speaking to reporters during the rally, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “There have been three attempts to divide and break the country. In 1905, Curzon did it. In 1947, Muhammad Ali Jinnah divided the country. Now the Congress party and the INDIA alliance are doing the same.
They are daydreaming that by inciting anarchy in the country, they can change the government. But this massive crowd that has gathered here is resolute. Under no circumstances will we allow democracy to be weakened.
Through the revision of the voter list, duplicate entries under the same name have been removed, the names of the deceased have been deleted, and the names of those who entered illegally have also been removed. This is the work of streamlining the voter list.
However, the Congress party and the INDIA alliance are trying to mislead the people of the country by spreading false ideas.
The INDIA alliance believes that by gathering crowds at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, it can destabilize the country. That is their mistake. Lakhs of people have taken to the streets to protect democracy. The people have unwavering faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Congress party alone bears the sin of killing democracy by imposing the Emergency and dissolving elected governments. They cannot win,” he said.
