Sangrur: Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized Bhagwant Mann, saying that if Punjab wants to get rid of drug addiction, the state’s chief minister himself should not be intoxicated.
Punjab Assembly elections are expected to be held in February next year. Therefore, election activities there have begun to heat up.
Congress president Kharge, Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, and others took part in an election campaign public meeting held in Sangrur city.
Speaking then, Rahul Gandhi said, “Drug addiction is a major problem in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party formed the government here. The people of Punjab placed their trust in them.
The Aam Aadmi government had promised that it would completely eradicate drug addiction from Punjab. In which part of Punjab have they eradicated drug addiction? The truth is that they cannot eliminate the drug problem.”
When Bhagwant Mann was a Member of Parliament, he would sit with us and speak humorously. But by 11 a.m., the smell of alcohol would already be coming from his mouth. Bhagwant Mann drinking alcohol is his personal matter. But if Punjab is to fight against drug addiction, the state’s Chief Minister should not be drinking every day.
The Aam Aadmi government, which is pushing the youth into drug abuse, cannot be forgiven. The people of the state will certainly remove them from power. Farmers are the backbone of Punjab. Until agriculture and industry are strengthened in Punjab, it will not be possible to fight against gangsters and drug culture.
I can prove in five minutes that Narendra Modi is a traitor. Narendra Modi is under Donald Trump’s control. Within 5 minutes of Trump’s threat, Narendra Modi signed an agreement with the United States. This was not informed to the cabinet or to officials. Modi handed over the data of India’s farmers and small, micro, and medium enterprises to Trump.
Modi did all this to save his friend Adani. Because after that agreement with the United States was signed, the case against Adani in the United States was dropped.
At present, the Punjab government is being run from Delhi. Amit Shah holds half the power, and Kejriwal holds the other half. The people of Punjab need a government that works from here. When the Congress was in power, the Punjab government was run from within Punjab,” he said.
