“If you want to win an election, you must go to the people and try to find solutions to their problems; instead, nothing can be achieved by staging protests,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, criticizing Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi.
He firmly said that by staying among the people and resolving their problems, BJP rule will continue for another 30 years.
Amit Shah’s remarks have drawn attention at a time when opposition parties, including the Congress, have been holding a series of protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral irregularities through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters’ list.
Speaking after inaugurating Yamuna river rejuvenation projects worth Rs. 8,941 crore in Delhi on Thursday, he said:
The previous Congress and Aam Aadmi governments took no action to prevent Yamuna river pollution. Aam Aadmi leader Arvind Kejriwal’s “politics of excuses” will no longer work. The party will face a crushing defeat in the Assembly election to be held in Punjab next year. Rahul Gandhi is mobilizing Congress workers from other states to take part in protests in Delhi. The people’s mandate cannot be rejected through political maneuvering and mob anarchy.
What exists will disappear:
People have understood Rahul well. Since he is somewhere abroad, he cannot hear what I am saying. He is not going to explain why he suddenly went abroad. However, since it is his personal life, let it be.
If the Congress and Rahul Gandhi want to win the election, they must go to the people and find solutions to their problems; they must implement welfare schemes in the states ruled by their party. Nothing can be achieved by staging protests. What they have now will also disappear.
Even after 30 years...:
Millions of BJP workers and Prime Minister Modi are living among the people, understanding their problems, and working tirelessly to find solutions to them. Because of Rahul’s negative politics, even after another 30 years, he will have no chance of coming to power. BJP rule will continue.
The BJP has been winning election after election. In the pain caused by this, the opposition parties are using the excuse of “vote theft.” Under the guise of “vote theft,” the Congress and its alliance parties want to protect infiltrators in the country.
The Congress’s double standards:
Because it has been unable to come to power in many states for many years, Congress is making excuses such as “electronic voting machine irregularities” and “vote theft.”
Congress has not been able to come to power in Gujarat for 41 years, in Uttar Pradesh for 41 years, in West Bengal for 54 years, and in Tamil Nadu for 64 years. In Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Congress has not been able to form a government with an absolute majority for 28 years.
When Congress won in Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala, it did not level any allegations against the Election Commission. Wherever it loses, it raises allegations. This exposes the party’s double standards, he said.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Dhananjay Singh Sandhu, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and others participated in the event.
