Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to the people to ensure the BJP’s victory in Uttarakhand for the third time.
On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the formation of Uttarakhand state, a public meeting was held in the capital, Dehradun. Amit Shah participated in it and spoke as follows:
BJP has set a target of making Uttarakhand a safe, developed state and transforming it into Devbhoomi, the cultural capital of the country. The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election is due next year. In the 2017 election, BJP won 57 seats, and in 2022, it won 47 seats. For the upcoming election, I have set a target for BJP to win more than 65 seats. Party workers must ensure that BJP wins additional seats. Party workers should go door to door and seek votes for BJP.
If the Congress party comes to power in Uttarakhand, it will support the Muslim university. But the BJP will remove places of worship and madrasas built on illegally encroached land. When an order was issued to remove structures on 29 acres of encroached land in Haldwani, Rahul Gandhi was displeased. Rahul Gandhi’s vote protection yatra is actually a yatra in support of infiltrators.
The tourism sector in Uttarakhand has grown by 380 percent. The BJP government has stopped infiltration. The BJP government is focusing on transforming Uttarakhand from a money-order economy into an industrial economy. Rahul Gandhi’s tour of Uttarakhand will not bring any benefit to the Congress. This is because BJP workers are continuously working to address the problems of the people of Uttarakhand. Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are working together to ensure that Uttarakhand’s development is not hindered.
Through precision strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor carried out in Pakistan, the Modi government has strengthened the security of the nation’s borders. When Congress was in power at the Centre, it said that if roads were built along the border, enemies would come through them. But the BJP government has built roads on the border in such a way that enemies cannot come, he said.
Speaking at the meeting, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, ‘When they lose elections, some people raise questions about electronic voting machines and the election process. The people of Uttarakhand will not believe and be deceived by the Congress party’s false narratives. Why did the Congress party remain silent when Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor from Uttarakhand, was insulted?
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav criticized the people of Uttarakhand as infiltrators. Why did its alliance partner Congress not stop him? The BJP government has sent those involved in exam irregularities in the state to jail. It has provided government jobs to 35,000 young people. There has been no irregularity or corruption anywhere in this, he said.
