What I would say to the opposition parties accusing the TVK government in Tamil Nadu of taking loans too is that the TVK government is taking loans, but only for development, not for looting, and for doing good, Chief Minister Joseph Vijay said.
He also said that the DMK and the BJP are not different; the BJP in Delhi is called the DMK, and the DMK in Tamil Nadu is called the BJP.

I go on inspections to many places as Chief Minister. I went to a bridge, and immediately they ask, after climbing onto the bridge we built, what Vijay is shooting there.
I ask, is that the bridge built with the money you gave? You only have Rs. 10,000, and you don’t even have a car, oh... did you build it using unaccounted money? We are not the ones asking this. The people are asking.
A Chief Minister is not a boss, but a servant of the people. But listening to what you say, it sounds like a Chief Minister is like a boss. Now, they think they can come to power by doing the math through shortcuts. But this calculation will not work out. What we and the people have is the arithmetic of love.
I am saying this to the many who thought of forming a government together with the DMK. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay said that all the people of Tamil Nadu are his own relatives.
They say that TVK is also taking loans. But not for looting. We are taking loans only for development work.
They say they are giving only half of the promises they made. They say, “He said he would give six free cylinders, but he is giving only 3,” and tell people to question it. But the people, on the other hand, are sending them away with blackened faces, saying, “Our home boy Vijay will give it, our home boy Vijay will give it.”
When all the women in Tamil Nadu whistled together, the DMK and many others were startled.
We said we would raise the milk procurement price within five years, but we have done it in three months. For what purpose? For our farmers.
Unable to bear the mental anguish caused by attempts by many others to form an alliance with the evil force DMK, the MLAs resigned.
Understand how much pain those who resigned their MLA posts must have in their hearts. The same pain would be there for MGR’s supporters too. MGR supporters, don’t worry. I am here for you.
For MGR and Jayalalithaa, it was the DMK that was the enemy. For our TVK too, the DMK is the enemy. Vijay said that if constituency delimitation comes in, the DMK is eager to support it and form an alliance with the central government.
