Ponneri: Ennore Dhanasekaran, a key rowdy who was released on bail from prison, has had his bail canceled after he got involved in criminal activity again.
Dhanasekaran, known as Ennore Dhanasekaran, is from the Ennore area. He is an ‘A-Plus’ history-sheeter at the Ennore police station, and there are a total of 80 criminal cases pending against him, including 9 murder cases, 11 attempted murder cases, 5 robbery cases, as well as kidnapping, extortion, and robbery.
At this time, in the Valuthikaimedu area near Minjur, Dhanasekar allegedly called Sundaralingam, a resident of Tirunelveli district who had been selling old iron scrap, and threatened him to pay monthly protection money. It is also said that Dhanasekar’s accomplice snatched Rs. 5,000 from Sundaralingam’s shirt pocket.
Based on a complaint regarding this, the Minjur police registered a case and arrested Dhanasekaran, sending him to jail. In this case, the Ponneri JM1 court granted Dhanasekaran bail on July 11 last year. Following this, after coming out of jail, Dhanasekaran, along with his associates, is said to have threatened and attacked an official of the private company carrying out work at the North Chennai thermal power station in April this year, demanding Rs. 10 lakh.
In connection with this incident, the Kattur police registered a case and arrested Dhanasekaran and his associates. After being released on bail with conditions, Dhanasekaran continued to engage in criminal activities, so the Ponneri JM1 court revoked his bail the day before yesterday. Following this, Ennore Dhanasekaran was once again lodged in prison.
