In celebration of Ayudha Pooja, actor Legend Saravanan celebrated the Ayudha Pooja festival with auto drivers. Following that, he addressed the gathering and said, ``At this moment, I express my deepest condolences to the late music composer Mr. Deva. He was not only a sweet music composer and the 'melody breeze,' but also a gentleman who was kind and affectionate with everyone. I pray to God that his soul may rest in peace, and I also express my deepest condolences to his family members and fans who are grieving his loss.

A few days ago, before attending this event, I met and spoke with some auto-rickshaw friends. What they told me then was deeply shocking and painful to me.
They said with regret that earlier they used to get up to 15 rides a day, but these days they are able to do only 5 rides. Because the number of rides has dropped so much, they are unable to pay the auto installment (due) and are finding it very difficult financially to support their families.
For the past 13 years, auto drivers have been urging the Tamil Nadu government to fulfill various demands in order to strengthen their livelihood. But so far, none of them have been implemented. Therefore, at this time, I make my humble request to our Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, our dear brother Vijay. You must fulfill the demands of auto driver brothers and many women drivers. If you wish, you can fulfill them in a single second and make their lives prosperous.

Today, two-wheelers are used the most in our Tamil Nadu, more than anywhere else in India. Most young people have started traveling only by two-wheelers. Therefore, those who depend on auto drivers today are mainly families with children and the elderly. So, auto drivers should serve passengers with love and compassion, treating them as one of their own family members, as a brother, as a friend, or, in the case of elders, as a son.
If you make their journey safe and comfortable, they will not seek any other mode of transport. You must create in them the belief, “I’ll travel by auto itself; this is what’s comfortable for me.” Only then will your business grow.
Even if the government provides you with assistance, your own attitude is also very important. Likewise, if two-wheeler taxis/cabs are eliminated, it would be a great help to auto workers. An auto driver’s livelihood is not just an individual matter; it has the power to support an entire family—his wife, children, and parents.

Auto drivers stand 20 to 30 people at each auto stand. If any untoward incidents, mistakes, or riots occur in your area, you can immediately inform the police and help reduce crime. Likewise, you should get down at places where traffic congestion occurs, help regulate traffic, and assist the police in maintaining law and order. We should not only work hard, but also engage in service to the people. Since you are always present in all places, you can easily connect the community.
Moreover, they say there will be heavier rainfall this year. Let us carefully listen to and follow the safety advice given by the government. Let us all come together to face this rainy season without any loss of life or property.
He has noted that the Tamil Nadu government and the people should support you so that your life improves and you can live a happy life."
