Regina: Two pilots from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry died when a training aircraft crashed in Canada.
Harv's Air, a company based in Canada, operates two flight training centers in the city of Winnipeg. At this company, Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambandam from Puducherry received training and obtained their pilot licenses.
To join as a pilot on cargo aircraft, one must have flown an aircraft for at least 200 hours. For that purpose, both of them had been renting and operating a Cessna 172 training aircraft from Harvs Air. Accordingly, on the 18th, Manoj and Sreecharan departed in the training aircraft from Regina Airport in Canada to the city of Steinbach.
Near Regina, in the Moose Mountain Park forest area, a training aircraft unexpectedly crashed to the ground while flying and was destroyed. Both pilots tragically lost their lives in the incident. After a long search, Canadian police located the site of the accident and carried out rescue operations. The bodies of both pilots were recovered in a charred condition. A high-level investigation is being conducted into the cause of this accident.
Indian Consulate Condolence: In this regard, in a statement issued the day before yesterday by the Indian Consulate in Vancouver, Canada, it said, “In the Canadian training aircraft accident, Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambandam from Puducherry have lost their lives. We express our condolences on behalf of the consulate to the families grieving their loss. All necessary assistance will be provided to send the bodies of both to India.”
