New Zealand's former captain Kane Williamson has announced that he is retiring from international cricket.
Williamson, one of New Zealand's star players and the team's highest run-scorer in international matches, made his debut on August 10, 2010, in an ODI against India.
The former captain has played 378 international matches for the national team, scoring 19,346 runs with 48 centuries and six double centuries.
He has scored 2,575 runs in 93 T20 internationals with 18 half-centuries, 7,256 runs in 175 One Day Internationals with 15 centuries and 47 half-centuries, and 9,515 runs in 110 Test matches with 33 centuries and 38 half-centuries.
Under his leadership, the New Zealand team has participated in the T20 World Cup three times. Under his captaincy, the New Zealand team qualified for two ICC Cricket World Cup finals and three ICC semifinal matches.
He had led the New Zealand team to the semifinals in the T20 World Cup held in India in 2016.
