ரவீந்திரநாத் தாகூரின் பிறந்த நாளான வரும் 9ம் தேதி மத்திய கொல்கத்தாவில் உள்ள பிரிகேட் அணிவகுப்பு மைதானத்தில் இந்த பதவியேற்பு விழா நடக்க இருக்கிறது. வரலாற்று முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த இந்த மைதானத்தில் ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு, இந்திரா காந்தி மற்றும் ஷேக் முஜிபுர் ரஹ்மான் போன்ற தலைவர்கள் உரையாற்றி இருக்கின்றனர். மற்றொருபுறம் புதிய முதல்வரை தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதற்கான வேலையில் பா.ஜ.க ஈடுபட்டுள்ளது. புதிய முதல்வர் குறித்து கட்சி நிர்வாகிகள் மற்றும் எம்.எல்.ஏ.க்களுடன் கலந்து ஆலோசிப்பதற்காக மத்திய அமைச்சர் அமித் ஷா நாளை மேற்கு வங்கத்திற்கு வர இருக்கிறார்.
