இதற்காக நாக்பூரில் ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டேயை அழைத்து இரவில் இரண்டு மணி நேரத்திற்கும் மேலாக முதல்வர் தேவேந்திர பட்னாவிஸ் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தினார். இப்பேச்சுவார்த்தையில் மாநில பா.ஜ.க தலைவர் ரவீந்திர சவான், அமைச்சர் சந்திரசேகர் பவன்குலே ஆகியோரும் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
இதில் ரவீந்திர சவான் தான் சிவசேனாவில் இருந்து பல தலைவர்களை பா.ஜ.கவிற்கு கொண்டு வந்தார். பா.ஜ.க தலைவர்களுடன் ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே நடத்திய பேச்சுவார்த்தை நள்ளிரவு வரை நீடித்தது. இதில் இரு கட்சிகளும் ஒரு கட்சியில் இருந்து மற்றொரு கட்சி தலைவர்களை தங்களது கட்சியில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள கூடாது என்று முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது. இனி சிவசேனாவில் இருந்து தலைவர்களை எடுக்க மாட்டோம் என்று பா.ஜ.க தலைவர்கள் உத்தரவாதம் கொடுத்தனர். மேலும் மும்பை மற்றும் தானே மாநகராட்சி தேர்தலில் இரு கட்சிகளும் கூட்டணி அமைத்து போட்டியிடுவது என்று முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.
இப்பேச்சுவார்த்தை குறித்து சிவசேனா மூத்த நிர்வாகி ஒருவர் கூறுகையில், ”மும்பை, தானே மாநகராட்சி தேர்தலுக்கு தனித்தனியாக ஒருங்கிணைப்பு குழு அமைத்து வார்டு பங்கீடு குறித்து பேச முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அடுத்த வாரம் மும்பை மாநகராட்சி வார்டு பங்கீடு குறித்து இரு கட்சி தலைவர்களும் சந்தித்து பேசுகின்றனர். பேச்சுவார்த்தையில் தலைவர்கள் இழுப்பை நிறுத்தும்படி ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே கேட்டுக்கொண்டார். இப்பேச்சுவார்த்தை மிகவும் சாதகமான ஒன்றாக இருந்தது. அடுத்த சில நாட்களில் ஒவ்வொரு மாநகராட்சியிலும் உள்ளூர் தலைவர்கள் சந்தித்து பேசுவார்கள்”என்றார்.
மும்பை அருகில் உள்ள கல்யான்-டோம்பிவலி மாநகராட்சி தேர்தலிலும் தங்களது கட்சிக்கு கணிசமான வார்டுகளை ஒதுக்க வேண்டும் என்று ஏக்நாத் ஷிண்டே வலியுறுத்தி இருக்கிறார். அதோடு மும்பை, தானேயில் முந்தைய தேர்தலில் சிவசேனா வெற்றி பெற்ற அனைத்து வார்டுகளையும் தங்களுக்கு ஒதுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் ஷிண்டே கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளார். மும்பை மாநகராட்சியை கடந்த முறையே பா.ஜ.க குறிவைத்தது. ஆனால் கடந்த முறை சிவசேனா ஒரு சில வார்டுகள் அதிகமாக பெற்றதால் மேயர் பதவியை சிவசேனாவிற்கு பா.ஜ.க விட்டுக்கொடுத்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
