The DMK has issued a statement regarding the irregularities in the promotion of 300 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB).

This is the face of the truth: TNEB’s promotion irregularity and TN DIPR’s false image!
The promotion of 300 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) is being advertised by the TVK government as a "first in history." But this is a diversionary tactic!
Here is the background to the truth:
Long-standing dispute: The issue of seniority for Assistant Engineers who joined service in 2000-2001 had been in court for many years.
Court ruling: The Supreme Court’s verdict on March 11, 2026, broke this deadlock.
DMK government’s swift action: The very next day after the verdict, on March 12, 2026, the then DMK government listed 416 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) for consideration for promotion to Executive Engineer (EE).

The question now is?
This process, which had been put on hold due to election conduct rules, has now been continued by the TVK government. But among the 416 eligible people, why have promotions been given only to 300 people at present?
What happened to the remaining 116 AEEs? Are they ineligible? Or is there some intention to take revenge against them?
Why is TN DIPR, which twists the news and acts like a film publicity agency, remaining silent about the status of these 116 people?
The engineers’ fair expectation is that promotions should be granted to everyone who is eligible. We strongly condemn any attempt to conceal the truth and create an illusion!
If you ask whether 300 is the maximum, no—there is a history of more than 700 promotions being granted [28.01.2024 & 21.08.2025 G.O]
Note:
In March 2026, the DMK government released a list of 416 people.
At present, on June 6, 2026, promotions have been granted to only 300 people.
There is no clear explanation from the government side regarding the status of the remaining 116 engineers."

தேர்தல் நடத்தை விதிமுறைகளால் நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்ட இந்த செயல்முறையை, தற்போது தவெக அரசு தொடர்ந்தது சரி. ஆனால், தகுதி வாய்ந்த 416 பேரில், ஏன் 300 பேருக்கு மட்டும் தற்போது பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது?
மீதமுள்ள 116 AEE-களுக்கு என்ன ஆனது? அவர்கள் தகுதியற்றவர்களா? அல்லது அவர்களைப் பழிவாங்கும் நோக்கம் ஏதேனும் உள்ளதா?
செய்திகளைத் திரித்து, திரைப் பட விளம்பர நிறுவனம் போலச் செயல்படும் TN DIPR, இந்த 116 பேரின் நிலை குறித்து மௌனம் காப்பது ஏன்?
தகுதியுள்ள அனைவருக்கும் பதவி உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதே பொறியாளர்களின் நியாயமான எதிர்பார்ப்பு. உண்மையை மறைத்து மாயை உருவாக்கும் முயற்சியை வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கிறோம்!
