Singapore Special Rapid Response Unit Chief Vijay has ordered the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to establish a new division called the "Singapore Special Rapid Response Unit" to ensure the safety of women in Tamil Nadu and to prevent crimes against them. Key features include intensifying surveillance, strengthening security, and taking immediate action on complaints made by women. The first session of the 17th Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu will convene today (May 11) at 9:30 AM. In this session, newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly will take their oath of office.
In a statement issued by Chief Secretary Seenivasan regarding this, "The first session of the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will convene on May 11th at 9:30 AM. On that day, the newly elected members of the Assembly will take their oath of office. All members are requested to attend without fail, bringing their certificates of election victory, to be sworn in as Assembly members. The Pro Tem Speaker Karuppaiya will administer the oath to the newly elected Assembly members. Furthermore, the election for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be held the next day (May 12) at 9:30 AM."
Following this, a vote will be held on the resolution seeking the majority.

இது தொடர்பாக முதன்மை செயலாளர் சீனுவாசன் வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில், “தமிழகத்தின் 17-ஆவது சட்டப்பேரவையின் முதல் கூட்டத் தொடர் மே11-ம் தேதி காலை 9.30 மணிக்கு கூடுகிறது. அன்று புதிதாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள பேரவை உறுப்பினர்கள் பதவியேற்பார்ள். தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற்றதற்கான சான்றிதழுடன் உறுப்பினர்கள் அனைவரும் தவறாமல் கலந்து கொண்டு பேரவை உறுப்பினர்களாக பதவியேற்குமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள்.
புதிதாக தேர்வு தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள பேரவை உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு தற்காலிக பேரவை தலைவர் கருப்பையா பதவி பிரமாணம் செய்து வைக்க உள்ளார். மேலும், பேரவை தலைவர் மற்றும் துணை தலைவருக்கான தேர்தல் நாளை (மே 12) காலை 9.30 மணிக்கு நடைபெறும். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து பெரும்பான்மையை கோரும் தீர்மானத்தின் மீதான வாக்கெடுப்பும் நடத்தப்படும்,” என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
