உதயமான மதிமுக!
வைகோவுக்கு ஆதரவாக கிட்டத்தட்ட 9 மாவட்டச் செயலாளர்கள் உடன் நின்றனர். 5 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட தொண்டர்கள் தீக்குளித்தனர். வைகோ திமுக தனக்குதான் சொந்தமென தேர்தல் ஆணையத்துக்கு ஓலை அனுப்பினார். முடிவு அனுகூலம் அளிக்கவில்லை.

1999 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் திமுக – பாஜக கூட்டணியில் நான்கு இடங்களில் போட்டியிட்டு நான்கிலும் வெல்கிறது மதிமுக. இதே கூட்டணி அப்படியே 2001 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலிலும் தொடரும் என எதிர்பார்ப்பு நிலவியது. ஆனால், வைகோ ட்விஸ்ட் கொடுத்தார்.
திமுகவுக்கும் மதிமுகவுக்கும் தொகுதி உடன்பாடு எட்டப்படாமலே இருந்தது. ‘மதிமுக தொண்டர்கள் திமுகவுடன் கூட்டணி வைப்பதை விரும்பவில்லை’ எனக்கூறி அறிவாலயத்துக்கு எதிராக பேசினார். மேலும், திமுக – பாஜக கூட்டணியில் பாஜக நிற்கும் தொகுதிகள் தவிர்த்து மற்ற தொகுதிகளிலெல்லாம் வேட்பாளர்களை நிறுத்தினார். 211 தொகுதிகளில் போட்டியிட்டார். மாபெரும் தோல்வி. திமுகவும் ஆட்சியை பிடிக்க முடியாமல் போனது. அதிமுக ஆட்சி அமைந்தது.
மதிமுக தொண்டர்களை காரணம் காட்டி திமுக கூட்டணிக்கு நோ சொன்ன வைகோ அடுத்த மூன்றே ஆண்டுகளில் பெரிய யூடர்னாக போட்டார். விடுதலைப் புலிகளுக்கு ஆதரவாக பேசியதற்காக வைகோவை பொடாவில் சிறையில் அடைத்தார் ஜெயலலிதா. கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒன்றரை ஆண்டுகள் சிறைவாசம். கருணாநிதி வைகோவை சிறைக்கு நேரில் சென்று பார்த்து தேற்றினார்.
வைகோ பிணையில் வெளிவந்த சமயத்தில் 2004 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தல். அப்போது திமுக – காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டணியுடன் கரம் கோர்க்கிறார். இதே கூட்டணி 2006 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் தொடருமென நினைத்த போதுதான் கருணாநிதிக்கு பெரிய அதிர்ச்சியை கொடுத்தார் வைகோ.
தேர்தலுக்கு 2 மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு ஜூனியர் விகடனுக்கு பேட்டி கொடுத்த வைகோவின் தாயார், ‘எத்தனை கோடி கொடுத்தாலும் அதிமுகவுடன் சேரமாட்டான்’ என உறுதியாகக் கூறினார். திருச்சி மாநாட்டில் வைகோவின் கட் அவுட்டையும் வைத்துக் கொண்டு காத்திருந்தார் கருணாநிதி. இடது பக்க இண்டிகேட்டரை போட்டு விட்டு வலதுபக்கமாக காரை திருப்பி போயஸ்கார்டனுக்கு வண்டியை விட்டார் வைகோ.
வைகோவின் உயிர்மூச்சான ஈழத்தை பற்றி பேசியதற்காக பொடாவில் தள்ளிய ஜெயலலிதாவிடம் தஞ்சமடைந்த அந்த சம்பவம், அவர் மீதான நம்பகத்தன்மையின் மீது பெரிய கேள்வியை எழுப்பியது. வைகோ தனக்கு துரோகம் இழைத்துவிட்டதாகவே நினைத்தார் கருணாநிதி. அதிமுக கூட்டணியில் 35 சீட்டுகளை வாங்கியது மதிமுக. அதிமுக அந்தத் தேர்தலில் தோற்று ஆட்சியை இழந்தது. மதிமுகவும் ஒற்றை இலக்கத்திலேயே வென்றது.
2006-11 காலக்கட்டத்தில் ஈழப்போர் விவகாரம் பற்றியெறிந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. திமுகவுக்கு எதிராக காத்திரமாக செயல்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார் வைகோ. இதனால் 2009 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலிலும் அதிமுக கூட்டணியிலேயே தொடர்கிறார். நான்கு இடங்கள் மதிமுகவுக்கு. ஒரே ஒரு இடத்தில் மட்டுமே வென்றது. விருதுநகரில் வைகோவே தோற்றார். 2011 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல் வருகிறது. தேமுதிக, கம்யூனிஸ்ட்டுகள் என பலரையும் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டு அதிமுக தேர்தலை எதிர்கொள்ள தயாரானது. மதிமுக இந்த முறையும் 20+ சீட்டுகளை எதிர்பார்த்தது. ஜெயலலிதா வைகோவுக்கு 12 சீட்டுகளுக்கு மேல் கொடுக்க விரும்பவில்லை. கௌரவக் குறைச்சலாக உணர்ந்த வைகோ தேர்தலையே புறக்கணித்தார்.
மோடிக்கு உற்ற நண்பர்
எப்படி வாஜ்பாய்க்கு தோளோடு தோளாக நின்றாரோ அதேபோல மோடிக்கும் வைகோ உற்ற நண்பராக இருந்தார். மோடியை தமிழகத்துக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தி வைத்ததே வைகோதான். 2014 தேர்தலில் என்.டி.ஏவில் ஐக்கியமாகி 7 சீட்டுகளை பெற்றார். பாஜகவுக்காகவும் மோடி பிரதமராக வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக சூறாவளி பிரசாரம் மேற்கொண்டார்.
இந்திய அளவில் பாஜக கோலோச்சினாலும் தமிழகத்தில் சோபிக்கவில்லை. பாஜகவும் தோற்றது. மதிமுகவும் தோற்றது. மோடியின் பதவியேற்பு விழாவுக்கு ராஜபக்சேவுக்கு அழைப்பு விடுக்கப்பட்டதை எதிர்த்து கூட்டணியிலிருந்து வெளியேறினார்.
அப்படி வெளியே வந்தவர் கையிலெடுத்த பெரிய ப்ராஜெக்ட்தான் ‘மக்கள் நலக் கூட்டணி’. கம்யூனிஸ்ட்டுகள், விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள், தேமுதிக என அத்தனைக் கட்சிகளையும் ஒரே குடையின் கீழ் இணைத்தார். தேமுதிகவை தங்கள் பக்கம் இழுக்கலாம் என்ற கருணாநிதியின் கனவை மீண்டும் உடைத்தார்.
மூழ்கப் போகும் படகென தெரிந்தே சவாரிக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்ததைப் போல, கடைசி நிமிடத்தில் வைகோ போட்டியிடாமல் ஒதுங்கிக் கொண்டார். இந்தத் தேர்தல் சமயத்தில்தான் ஸ்டாலினை கடுமையாக விமர்சித்திருந்தார் வைகோ. ‘நமக்கு நாமே என பட்டாபிஷேகம் செய்ய துடித்துக் கொண்டு காத்திருக்கிறார் ஸ்டாலின். அவர் எதற்கும் தகுதியற்றவர். எதற்கும் லாயக்கற்றவர்’ என ஸ்டாலினின் இமேஜை இயன்றளவுக்கு டேமேஜ் செய்தார் வைகோ.
அடுத்த இரண்டே ஆண்டுகளில் ஸ்டாலினின் கரத்தை வலுப்படுத்த, திமுகவை மீண்டும் அரியணையில் ஏற்ற வண்டியை அறிவாலயம் பக்கமாக திருப்பிவிட்டார். 2019, 2021, 2024 என தொடர்ச்சியாக மூன்று தேர்தல்களில் திமுக கூட்டணியில் தொடர்ந்து நிற்கிறது மதிமுக. இதுவே பெரிய சாதனைதான்.
மக்களின் விருப்பத்துக்கு மாறான கூட்டணியை சரியாக தேர்வு செய்வது, திரில்லர் படங்களைப் போல தேர்தல் நெருக்கத்தில் க்ளைமாக்ஸில் ட்விஸ்ட் கொடுப்பது, நேற்றுப் பேசியதை அப்படியே மறந்துவிட்டு மீண்டும் புதிதாக தங்கள் வசதிக்கேற்ப அரசியல் கோடுகளை கிழித்துக் கொள்வது என மதிமுகவும் வைகோவும் தமிழக அரசியலில் நிறைய ரகளைகளை செய்திருக்கின்றனர்.
வாரிசு அரசியலால் திமுகவிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றப்பட்டேன் என மக்களிடம் நியாயம் கேட்ட அதே வைகோ, தன்னுடைய வாரிசுக்காக ஆடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆட்டங்கள்தான் அரசியலெனில் அவருக்காக தீக்குளித்த தொண்டர்களின் விசுவாசத்துக்கும் நன்றிக்கும் என்னதான் பதில் மரியாதை இருக்கிறது?
