Even after the memorandum of understanding was signed between Iran and the United States, the Strait of Hormuz was closed yesterday. The main reason for this is Israel’s ongoing series of attacks on Lebanon.

Israel is attacking Lebanon, even though it is not part of this memorandum of understanding. Iran does not like this. So, it has closed the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, Iran had said it would compensate for the damages caused by the war.
In response, U.S. President Trump posted on his Truth Social page that no toll should be charged in the Strait of Hormuz...
"For the 60-day ceasefire period, there will be no customs duty in the Strait of Hormuz. Even after these 60 days are over, no charges will be collected.
“If this agreement fails to be completed, tariffs may be imposed only by the United States, in order to cover past, present, and future expenses... for its services as a ‘Guardian Angel’ to the countries of the Middle East.”
It is noteworthy that even if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, a delegation led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has departed from Iran for Zurich in Switzerland for talks with the United States.
