Former MLA Vijayadharani has said that she joined the TVK because of its commitment to eradicating drug culture and protecting women.
Vijayadharani, the great-granddaughter of Kavimani National Vinayagam Pillai, had held various positions in the Congress party. Last year, in 2024, while serving as the Congress MLA for the Vilavancode constituency in Kanyakumari district, she resigned from her MLA post, left the party, and joined the BJP.
For the past two years and more, he had not been given any position there.
