A young man died because an ambulance journey was delayed due to traffic congestion in Kerala.
He died after the ambulance carrying him from the tribal hospital in Attappadi area of Palakkad district, Kerala, to the medical college hospital in Thrissur was delayed due to traffic congestion.
Police further stated that the deceased in this incident was Sajeev Kumar (25), a resident of Valamari in Attappadi.
Sajeev Kumar, a young man belonging to the tribal community, had been admitted to the tribal special hospital in Attappady and was receiving treatment there due to a severe fever.
On Thursday (June 11) evening, after he developed difficulty in breathing, doctors decided to transfer him to the medical college hospital in Thrissur for advanced treatment.
When he was being taken to the hospital in an ambulance, traffic was disrupted and severe congestion occurred on the Attappadi mountain road after a tree fell across the road. As a result, there was a one-hour delay in reaching the hospital. However, by the time he reached the hospital, Sajeev Kumar’s condition had worsened and he died.
Police also said that a case has been registered and an investigation is under way.

கேரளத்தில் போக்குவரத்து நெருக்கடியால் ஆம்புலன்ஸ் பயணம் தாமதமானதன் காரணமாக இளைஞர் உயிரிழந்தார்.

பழங்குடியினர் சமுதாயத்தைச் சார்ந்த சஜீவ் குமார் என்னும் இந்த இளைஞர் கடும் காய்ச்சல் காரணமாக அட்டப்பாடியில் உள்ள பழங்குடியினர் சிறப்பு மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுச் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்தார்.
வியாழக்கிழமை (ஜூன் 11) மாலை அவருக்கு மூச்சு விடுவதில் சிரமம் ஏற்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து, உயர் சிகிச்சைக்காக திருச்சூரில் உள்ள மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மருத்துவமனைக்கு மாற்ற மருத்துவர்கள் முடிவு செய்தனர்.
ஆம்புலன்ஸுல் மருத்துவமனைக்கு அவர் கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டபோது, அட்டப்பாடி மலைப்பாதையில் சாலையின் குறுக்கே மரம் ஒன்று விழுந்ததால் போக்குவரத்து பாதிக்கப்பட்டு, கடும் நெரிசல் ஏற்பட்டது. இதனால் மருத்துவமனைக்குச் செல்ல ஒரு மணி நேரம் தாமதமானது. இருப்பினும், மருத்துவமனையை அடையும் போது சஜீவ் குமாரின் நிலை மோசமாகி அவர் உயிரிழந்தார்.
