Former minister R.S. Bharathi has said that it does not matter even if the Communist parties are not in the DMK alliance.
Speaking at a press meet in Chennai, DMK organizational secretary R.S. Bharathi said, "The Communist Party of India was with us in 1971; later they left. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) was also with us in 1978; later they too left.
They have been with us and left us many times like this. In the same way, they are now parting ways today.
M. Veerapandian has said that, for now, they are not continuing in the DMK alliance. He did not use the word “forever.” As far as the DMK is concerned — with them if they come; without them if they do not.
If they oppose, the DMK will continue its journey by opposing them as well — that is the history. You should ask them about the discomfort they experienced on this one day.
“Whether anyone is there or not, we do not care at all,” he said.

யார் இருந்தாலும் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் நாங்கள் கவலைப்படுவதேயில்லை” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
