Following the acceptance of the resignation of former BJP state president Annamalai, former Coimbatore city district president Balaji Uthama Ramasamy, South district president Vasantha Rajan, and other office-bearers have quit the party. Our movement cannot be called BJP’s A team or B team. We will view BJP just like any other party. I do not know actor Rajinikanth’s role in this movement. Our policy will be based on the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu.
Annamalai’s ideology is our ideology. BJP’s ideology is different, and our ideology is different. In the future, the political contest will be between Vijay and Annamalai. The Abdul Kalam political training center announced by Annamalai will be started in Coimbatore very soon,” he said.
Similarly, in the statement released by Vasantharajan, “I have been in the BJP for 28 years, even through the worst period of defeats. My social mission is to free Tamil Nadu from corruption, addiction to drugs, addiction to cinema, and family rule, and transform it into a pioneering state.

மிக கனத்த இதயத்துடன் நான் உயிரினும் மேலாக நேசித்த பா.ஜ.க-வில் இருந்து விலகுகிறேன். தமிழக நலன் கொண்ட, தேசிய சிந்தனை கொண்ட, ஊழலற்ற, நேர்மையான, பிரம்மாண்ட வளர்ச்சி தரும் என மக்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கும் அரசியல் பாதையில் அண்ணாமலை உடன் கைகோர்த்து பயணிக்க முடிவு எடுத்துள்ளேன்” எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
வசந்தராஜன் கடந்த நாடாளுமன்ற தேர்தலில் பா.ஜ.க. சார்பில் போட்டியிட்டு 2.23 லட்சம் வாக்குகளை பெற்று மூன்றாமிடம் பிடித்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
