Following this, the ghee supplied by the companies was sent to a laboratory in Gujarat and tested.
It was said that the ghee supplied to Tirupati by A.R. Dairy Food Company, located in Pillaiyar Natham Division in Dindigul district, had only 20 percent quality, and that adulterants such as oil extracted from soybeans, fish oil, and beef fat had been mixed into it, according to the investigation.
Following this, the Tirupati temple trust blacklisted that company and has been procuring ghee by entering into a contract with another company.
In this situation, more than 12 officials from the Enforcement Directorate arrived in four cars and conducted raids yesterday from 8 a.m. until night at two places: the house and the company of the owner of this company, Rajasekar.
In addition, these searches were conducted at 15 locations belonging to this company in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Ahilyanagar, Bikaner, Dehradun, Guntur, and Roorkee.
During this search, reports have emerged that the Enforcement Directorate has seized assets purchased with unaccounted money and money earned through the ghee adulteration scam.
