உரையாடல் முடிந்த பிறகு வி.டி.சதீசனை வீட்டு வாசல் வரை சென்று வழியனுப்பினார். அந்தச் சமயத்தில் பினராயி விஜயன் மற்றும் வி.டி.சதீசனை மீடியாவினர் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டனர்.
“அவர்கள் என்ன எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்களோ சொல்லுங்கள்” என வி.டி.சதீசனிடம் கூறிய பினராயி விஜயன் மீடியாக்களிடம் பேசாமல் ஒதுங்கிவிட்டார். வி.டி.சதீசன் செய்தியாளர்களின் கேள்விகளுக்குப் பதிலளித்து பேசினார்.
செய்தியாளர்களிடம் வி.டி.சதீசன் கூறுகையில், “கேரள அரசியலில் சீனியர் தலைவர் என்பதால் நான் பினராயி விஜயனைச் சந்திக்க வந்தேன். பத்து ஆண்டுகள் முதல்வராகவும், 16 ஆண்டுகள் சி.பி.எம் செயலாளராகவும் இருந்தவர் அவர். அவர் எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவராக வரப்போகிறார்.
எனவே கேரளத்தின் முக்கியமான விஷயத்தில் உடன் நிற்க வேண்டும் என நினைக்கிறேன். அதற்கு அவரது பக்கத்துணை வேண்டும். அரசியலில் எல்லா விஷயங்களிலும் ஒன்றாக நிற்க முடியாது என்பது தெரியும். அதே சமயம் பத்து ஆண்டுகளாக அரசு கொண்டுவந்த அனைத்தையும் மாற்றப்போவதில்லை.
அரசு என்பது தொடர்ந்து நடப்பது ஆகும். சில நேரம் விமர்சித்த பகுதியைத் திருத்தி அதைச் செயல்படுத்துவோம். ஒரு அரசு செயல்படுத்தியதை அடுத்த அரசு நிறுத்தினால் கேரளம் இருக்குமா? எங்களுக்குள் பேசிய அனைத்தையும் வெளியில் கூற முடியாது. பதவி ஏற்புவிழாவுக்கு அவரை அழைத்துள்ளேன்” என்றார்.
