The Tamil Nadu government has today ordered the rapid transfer of IAS officers holding key positions in the administration. The official government order for this has been issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar. According to the announcement, N. Muruganandam, IAS, who was on long leave, has returned to duty. He has been appointed as the Revenue Administration and Disaster Management Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary). It is noteworthy that this responsibility was previously additionally handled by P. Amudha, IAS. M.A. Siddique, IAS, who was serving as the Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Corporation, has been transferred.
He has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department of the Tamil Nadu government. He is taking over this responsibility from Th. Udayachandran, IAS, who held the position until now. Dr. S. Suvarna, IAS, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments. Previously, she served as the State Director of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) project. Dr. K. Manivasan, IAS, who was additionally overseeing this responsibility, will now be fully handled by Dr. Suvarna. Similarly, K. Nandakumar, IAS, who was serving as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, has been assigned the charge of the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC).
