A meeting of AIADMK MLAs was scheduled to take place today, but it has suddenly been called off, according to reports. In the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the DMK emerged as the single largest party, winning the most seats. However, the DMK did not secure enough seats to form a majority government on its own. Out of the total 234 constituencies, a party needs to win 118 seats to form a majority government independently. The DMK, led by Vijay, won 108 seats as a single party. Since the party did not secure the required number of seats for a majority, the situation is ripe for forming a coalition government. As a result, the DMK is intensifying its efforts in the next phase of action.
In this context, the AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami had called the MLAs who won the election to come to Chennai. Accordingly, it was announced that an MLAs' meeting would be held this morning. However, it has now been reported that the AIADMK MLAs' meeting has been suddenly canceled. It is reported that there is a difference of opinion regarding support for Vijay.

நடந்து முடிந்த தமிழக சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் த.வெ.க அதிக இடங்களை வென்ற தனிக்கட்சியாக உள்ளது.

இதனால் தவெக அடுத்த கட்ட நடவடிக்கையில் தீவிரமாக இறங்கி உள்ளது. இந்தச் சூழலில் தான் தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற்ற எம்.எல்.ஏக்களை சென்னைக்கு வருமாறு அதிமுக பொதுச்செயலாளர் எடப்பாடி பழனிசாமி அழைப்புவிடுத்திருந்தார்.
அந்தவகையில் இன்று காலை எம்.எல்.ஏக்கள் கூட்டம் நடைபெறும் என்றும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. ஆனால் தற்போது அதிமுக எம்.எல்.ஏ க்கள் கூட்டம் திடீரென ரத்தாகி இருப்பதாகத் தகவல் வெளியாகி இருக்கிறது. விஜய்க்கு ஆதரவு அளிப்பதில் கருத்து முரண்பாடு உள்ளதாக தகவல் வெளியாகி உள்ளது.
