திமுகவிடம் 4 ராஜ்ய சபா சீட்கள் இருக்கிறது. ராஜ்ய சபா சீட்டுக்கான வேட்புமனு தாக்கல் செய்ய மார்ச் 5 ஆம் தேதியே கடைசி நாள். அதனால் தேமுதிகவுக்கு உத்தரவாதம் அளித்தபடியே இன்று இரவு 8:30 மணியளவில் முதலமைச்சர் முன்னிலையில் தேமுதிகவின் சுதீஷ் ராஜ்ய சபாவுக்கான ஒப்பந்தத்தை பெற்றுக் கொண்டார். செல்வப்பெருந்தகை மகளின் நிச்சயதார்த்தத்தை முடித்துவிட்டு அங்கிருந்தபடியே அறிவாலயத்துக்கு நேரில் வந்து ஒப்பந்தத்தை முடித்திருக்கின்றனர்.
இப்போது கையெழுத்தாகியிருப்பது ராஜ்ய சபா ஒப்பந்தம் மட்டுமே. சட்டமன்ற தேர்தலுக்கான இடங்கள் பற்றிய ஒப்பந்தம் இன்னும் கையெழுத்தாகவில்லை. தேமுதிக பொதுச்செயலாளர் பிரேமலதா விஜயகாந்த் வெளியூரில் இருப்பதால் இன்று ஒப்பந்தம் கையெழுத்தாகவில்லை. அவர் வந்தவுடன் அடுத்த சில நாட்களில் தேமுதிகவுடன் சட்டமன்றத்துக்கான ஒப்பந்தமும் கையெழுத்தாகும் என்கின்றனர்.
