The recent inclusion of the PMK in the DMK alliance has become a topic of discussion in Tamil Nadu's political circles. The Moovendhar Advancement Association members said at that time that they had a chance of winning, but AIADMK did not allocate the constituency they requested. They believed that if they had been given the constituency they wanted, they would have won. In the last election, Sridhar Vandaiyar had requested the Thanjavur constituency from AIADMK, but at the last moment, Kumbakonam was allotted instead. In the last parliamentary election, they joined the DMK alliance. Currently, that alliance continues. At an event, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi spoke about Sridhar Vandaiyar, saying, "Our grandfather and father would say that Sridhar Vandaiyar is one of our family. He is not only part of the family but also a member of the alliance. He has great affection for us." Recently, the DMK held a protest against the Union government's budget. Sridhar Vandaiyar, sharing the same view, is said to have requested three constituencies to contest in the upcoming assembly elections under this alliance, asking to be given one of them. He specifically mentioned the three constituencies of Orathanadu, Thanjavur, and Thiruvaiyaru in the Thanjavur district. Since Orathanadu is a constituency with a large number of Mukkulathor votes, it was Sridhar Vandaiyar's first choice. He had already planned and conducted some events within the constituency. In the heated DMK race situation, Vaittilingam's entry into the DMK has made Orathanadu a certainty for him. இப்படியாக ஒத்த எண்ணத்தில் இந்த கூட்டணி தொடரும் நிலையில் வரும் சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் போட்டியிடுவதற்கு வாண்டையார் மூன்று தொகுதிகளை குறிப்பிட்டு அதில் ஒரு தொகுதியை கொடுங்கள்னு கேட்டதாக சொல்கிறார்கள்.
தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள ஒரத்தநாடு, தஞ்சாவூர், திருவையாறு ஆகிய மூன்று தொகுதிகளை குறிப்பிட்டு கேட்டுள்ளார். இதில் முக்குலத்தோர் வாக்குகள் நிறைந்த தொகுதி என்பதால் ஶ்ரீதர் வாண்டையாரின் முதல் சாய்ஸாக ஒரத்தநாடு இருந்தது. முன்கூட்டியே திட்டமிட்டு தொகுதிக்குள் சில நிகழ்ச்சிகளையும் நடத்தினார்.
