Nishikant, the brother of Sunil Shinde, a legislative council member belonging to Uddhav Thackeray's party, is the official candidate of the party in the 194th ward. In the same ward, Sonal Pawar from Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena is contesting as an independent candidate.
In the 196th ward, former councilor Ashish Semburkar's wife, Padmaja Uthav Thakkare, is contesting as the official candidate of the party. Sangita Jagtap, from the same party, is contesting independently in the same ward. In the 193rd ward, Suriyakant Goli from the same party is contesting against Hemangi Orlikar, the official candidate of Shiv Sena (Uddhav). This has posed a challenge for the Raj Thakkare and Uddhav Thakkare alliance to retain the Orli area in this election. அவர்களை போட்டியில் இருந்து வாபஸ் பெற வைக்க கட்சி தலைமை மேற்கொண்ட முயற்சி பலனலிக்கவில்லை. உத்தவ் தாக்கரே கட்சியை சேர்ந்த சட்டமேலவை உறுப்பினர் சுனில் ஷிண்டேயின் சகோதரர் நிஷிகாந்த் 194வது வார்டில் கட்சியின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ வேட்பாளராக இருக்கிறார். இதே வார்டில் உத்தவ் தாக்கரேயின் சிவசேனாவை சேர்ந்த சோனல் பவார் சுயேச்சையாக போட்டியிடுகிறார். 196வது வார்டில் முன்னாள் கவுன்சிலர் ஆசிஷ் செம்பூர்கர் மனைவி பத்மஜா உத்தவ் தாக்கரே கட்சியின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ வேட்பாளராக போட்டியிடுகிறார். அதே கட்சியை சேர்ந்த சங்கீதா ஜக்தாப் அதே வார்டில் சுயேச்சையாக களத்தில் நிற்கிறார்.
193வது வார்டில் சிவசேனா(உத்தவ்)வின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ வேட்பாளராக போட்டியிடும் ஹேமாங்கி ஒர்லிகரை எதிர்த்து அதே கட்சியை சேர்ந்த சூரியகாந்த் கோலி போட்டியிடுகிறார்.
இதனால் இத்தேர்தலில் ஒர்லி பகுதியை தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்வது ராஜ் தாக்கரே மற்றும் உத்தவ் தாக்கரே கூட்டணிக்கு சவாலான ஒன்றாக அமைந்துள்ளது. குறிப்பாக இந்த தொகுதியில் ஆதித்ய தாக்கரே எம்.எல்.ஏ.வாக இருப்பதால் இத்தொகுதியை தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பதில் சிவசேனா(உத்தவ்) உறுதியாக இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் அதிருப்தி வேட்பாளர்களால் கட்சியின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ வேட்பாளர்கள் கலக்கத்தில் இருக்கின்றனர்.

மராத்தியர்கள் ஆதிக்கம் நிறைந்த ஒர்லியை தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்வது தாக்கரே சகோதரர்களுக்கு மிகவும் கெளரவ பிரச்னையாக அமைந்துள்ளது. சமீபத்தில் ஒர்லி தொகுதியை சேர்ந்த நவநிர்மாண் சேனா மூத்த தலைவர் சந்தோஷ் தூரி அக் கட்சியில் இருந்து விலகி பா.ஜ.கவில் சேர்ந்தார். அதோடு மும்பை நவநிர்மாண் சேனா தலைவர் சந்தீப் தேஷ்பாண்டேயும் அக்கட்சியில் இருந்து விலக இருப்பதாக செய்திகள் வெளியாகிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. ஆனால் இதனை சந்தீப் தேஷ்பாண்டே திட்டவட்டமாக மறுத்துள்ளார். அதிருப்தி வேட்பாளர்கள், நவநிர்மாண் சேனாவின் ஒத்துழைப்பு இன்மை போன்ற காரணங்களால் ஒர்லியை தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்வதில் ஆதித்ய தாக்கரே திணறி வருகிறார்.
