‘850 MPs in the Lok Sabha’ – Why is there opposition to the new bill in South India?

The number of Lok Sabha members will be increased from 543 to a maximum of 850, and one-third of the seats in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will be reserved for women. The central government has proposed these two major changes in three draft bills distributed among the members of Parliament on Tuesday.
