A special debate was held yesterday (Dec. 8) in the parliamentary session to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the writing of India's national song, "Vande Mataram." Prime Minister Modi initiated this debate with his speech in the Lok Sabha. The opposition parties, including the Congress, strongly opposed that speech. During the debate on the "Vande Mataram" song, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra said, "To preserve its dignity, the Lok Sabha Secretariat sent a message two weeks ago stating that MPs should not raise any slogans such as 'Jai Hind' or 'Vande Mataram.'" Mahua Moitra said that the government is currently conducting a 10-hour debate on the song "Vande Mataram." Why? She explained the reason as well. Someone from the BJP IT wing might have suggested that doing this could help them win the West Bengal elections. அந்த சமரசம் நாட்டின் பிரிவினைக்கு வழிவகுத்தது. காங்கிரஸ் வந்தே மாதரத்தைப் பிரிக்கவில்லை என்றால், நாடு இரண்டாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டிருக்காது. வந்தே மாதரம் 100 ஆண்டுகள் நிறைவடைந்தபோது, அவசரநிலை விதிக்கப்பட்டது. தேசியப் பாடலைப் புகழ்வதற்கு எந்த வாய்ப்பும் இல்லை. வந்தே மாதரம் என்ற முழக்கத்தைப் பிரச்சாரம் செய்து எழுப்பியவர்களை இந்திரா காந்தி சிறையில் அடைத்தார்…
