Central Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw met with journalists yesterday (Sunday) to discuss high-speed bullet train projects. At that time, he said, "As the next railway development initiative in South India, we are going to convert the 'Chennai-Bengaluru-Hyderabad' routes into high-speed rail corridors. This triangular connection is important for rail transportation. This effort aims to promote economic development and connect IT hubs. It will significantly reduce travel time for people. With this bullet train project, it will be possible to reach Bengaluru from Chennai in 1 hour and 13 minutes."
Similarly, it is possible to reach Hyderabad from Chennai in 2 hours and 55 minutes. "Through the bullet train project, we expect to improve connectivity in the southern states including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, and accelerate regional development," he said. In the central budget, two trains have been announced for Tamil Nadu on the aforementioned routes under the bullet train project. This project will significantly reduce travel time for people. Generally, it takes 5-6 hours to travel by train from Chennai to Bangalore. Similarly, it takes 9-11 hours to travel from Chennai to Hyderabad.
If the bullet train comes into operation, it will be very beneficial for the people of Tamil Nadu.

இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ்நாடு, ஆந்திரா, தெலங்கானா, கர்நாடகா உள்ளிட்ட தென் மாநிலங்களில் இணைப்பை மேம்படுத்தி, பிராந்திய வளர்ச்சியை விரைவுபடுத்த முடியும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம்” என்றார்.
மத்திய பட்ஜெட்டில் புல்லட் ரயில் திட்டத்தில் தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு மேற்கண்ட வழித்தடங்களில் இரண்டு ரயில்கள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் மக்களின் பயண நேரம் வெகுவாகக் குறையும்.
பொதுவாக சென்னையிலிருந்து பெங்களூருவுக்குச் செல்ல ரயிலில் 5-6 மணி நேரம் எடுக்கும். அதேபோல சென்னையிலிருந்து ஹைதராபாத்துக்குச் செல்ல 9-11 மணி நேரம் ஆகும். புல்லட் ரயில் பயன்பாட்டுக்கு வரும் பட்சத்தில் தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும்.
