அந்த வரிசையில் த.வெ.க தலைவர் விஜய்யும், மக்கள் சந்திப்புகளை நடத்தி வருகிறார். சமீபத்தில் கரூரில் நடைபெற்ற துயரச் சம்பவத்தால் அங்கு தொடர்ந்து ரோடு ஷோ நடத்துவதற்கு தமிழக அரசு அனுமதியளிக்கவில்லை.

ஆனால் ரோடு ஷோவுக்கு விதிமுறைகள் வழங்குவது தொடர்பான வழக்கு சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் நிலுவையில் இருப்பதைக் காரணம் காட்டி, புதுச்சேரி காவல்துறை அனுமதி கொடுக்க மறுத்து விட்டது.

அதையடுத்து சீனியர் எஸ்.பி கலைவாணனை அவரது அலுவலகத்தில் சந்தித்த த.வெ.க நிர்வாகிகள், உப்பளம் துறைமுக மைதானத்தில் டிசம்பர் 9-ம் தேதி பொதுக்கூட்டம் நடத்திக் கொள்ள அனுமதி கேட்டு மனு அளித்தனர்.
அந்த மனுவில், `கூட்டத்தில் 5,000 பேர் மட்டுமே வருவார்கள். அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் `கியூ-ஆர்’ கோடுடன் கூடிய பாஸ் வழங்கப்பட்டுவிடும்’ என்று குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தனர்.
அதற்கு காவல்துறை அனுமதி கொடுத்த நிலையில், அந்த இடத்திற்கு அனுமதி கேட்டு பொதுப்பணித்துறைக்கு மனு அளித்தனர்.
அதையடுத்து பொதுப்பணித்துறை அதிகாரிகளுடன் உப்பளம் துறைமுக மைதானத்தை ஆய்வு செய்த டி.ஐ.ஜி சத்தியசுந்தரம் மற்றும் சீனியர் எஸ்.பி கலைவாணன், பொதுக்கூட்டத்திற்காக த.வெ.க போட்டிருந்த வியூகங்களை கேட்டறிந்தனர்.
