A public meeting was held in the Theni Bangalamedu area on behalf of the Naam Tamilar Party. In this, Sattai Duraimurugan, the state policy dissemination secretary of the Naam Tamilar Party, participated and spoke. While Sattai Duraimurugan was speaking on the stage, Vijay party members who arrived on two-wheelers were whistling and shouting "TVK, TVK" as they moved away. Prior to this, Left Pandi, the South Theni district secretary of the Tamil Nadu Victory Organization, had released a video threatening to kill Sattai Duraimurugan, saying, "You criticize too much, come to Theni district and see." There was a commotion when the Tamil Nadu Vetrikazagam party official's car window was broken. Subsequently, police officers led by Theni Deputy Superintendent of Police Muthukumar mediated between both parties and settled the matter. This caused a major uproar in the area. Furthermore, while the public meeting was ongoing, the Theni city police investigated the person who caused the disturbance and registered a case against five individuals, including Tamil Nadu Vetrikazagam's South District Secretary Left Pandi.

தேனி பங்களாமேடு பகுதியில் நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி சார்பில் பொதுக்கூட்டம் நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது. இதில் நாம் தமிழர் கட்சியின் மாநில கொள்கை பரப்பு செயலாளர் சாட்டை துரைமுருகன் கலந்து கொண்டு பேசினார்.
சாட்டை துரைமுருகன் மேடையில் பேசிக் கொண்டிருக்கும்போது அவ்வப்போது இரு சக்கர வாகனங்களில் வந்த விஜய் கட்சியினர் விசிலடித்து கொண்டி ’ TVK’ ‘TVK’ என கூச்சலிட்டவாறே சென்று கொண்டிருந்தனர்
இதற்கு முன்னதாக தமிழக வெற்றி கழகத்தை சேர்ந்த தேனி தெற்கு மாவட்ட செயலாளர் லெஃப்ட் பாண்டி என்பவர் ’தவெகவை அதிகம் விமர்சனம் செய்கிறாய் தேனி மாவட்டத்திற்கு வந்து பாரு’ என சாட்டை துரை முருகனுக்கு கொலை மிரட்டல் வீடியோ ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டு இருந்தார். இதைக் குறிப்பிட்டு நேற்று மேடையில் பேசிய துரைமுருகன், “நான் தேனியில் தான் இருக்கிறேன் உன்னால் முடிந்ததை செய்” என ஆக்ரோஷமாக பேசிவிட்டு புறப்பட்டு சென்றார்.
இந்த நிலையில் ஐந்து கார்களில் வந்து கூச்சலிட்ட தமிழக வெற்றிக் கழகத்தினரின் கார்களை சிறை பிடித்த நாம் தமிழர் கட்சியினர், அவர்களுடன் மோதலில் ஈடுபட்டனர். இதில் த.வெ.க கட்சியின் நிர்வாகி கார் கண்ணாடி உடைக்கப்பட்டதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது
தொடர்ந்து தேனி துணை காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் முத்துக்குமார் தலைமையிலான போலீசார் இருதரப்பையும் சமாதானம் செய்து அனுப்பி வைத்தனர் இதனால் அப்பகுதியில் பெரும் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.
மேலும் பொதுக்கூட்டம் நடைபெற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கும்போது இடையூறு செய்த நபர் குறித்து தேனி நகர் போலீசார் விசாரணை செய்து தமிழக வெற்றிக் கழகத்தின் தெற்கு மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் லெஃப்ட் பாண்டி உட்பட ஐந்து பேர் மீது வழக்கு பதிவு செய்தனர்.
