அதிமுக தலைமையிலான தேசிய ஜனநாயகக் கூட்டணியில் ‘புதிய தமிழக’த்துக்கு ஓரிரு இடங்களை ஒதுக்க எடப்பாடி பழனிசாமியும் சம்மதம் தெரிவித்திருந்த நிலையில், ‘ஆட்சியில் பங்கு’, ‘ராஜ்ய சபா சீட்’ என்றெல்லாம் பேச, கழற்றி விடப்பட்டிருக்கிறார் கிருஷ்ணசாமி.

தனித் தொகுதி என்பதால் கொடியன்குளம் சம்பவம் தொகுதி முழுக்க எதிரொலிக்க, அந்தச் சமயத்தில் அந்தச் சமூக மக்களுக்காகக் குரல் கொடுத்து வந்த ஜான் பாண்டியன் வேறொரு வழக்கில் சிறையிலிருந்தார்.
இந்தச் சூழலில்தான் கோவை பகுதியில் தன் சமூக மக்களின் முன்னேற்றத்துக்காகச் சில பணிகளை செய்து கொண்டிருந்த கிருஷ்ணசாமி விவகாரத்துக்குள் என்ட்ரி ஆனார்.
பகுதியில் அதே சமூகத்தில் முக்கியப் புள்ளிகளாக விளங்கிய மறைந்த பசுபதி பாண்டியன் உள்ளிட்ட சிலருடன் சேர்ந்து தேவேந்திர குல வேளாளர் கூட்டமைப்பை நிறுவி, ஆண்டு கொண்டிருந்த அதிமுக, எதிர்க்கட்சியக இருந்த திமுக இரண்டையும் எதிர்த்துக் களம் கண்டார்.
ஜனதா கட்சியின் சுப்பிரமணியசாமி இவருக்கு ஆதரவாக நின்று தனது சின்னமான ஏர் உழவன் சின்னத்தில் போட்டியிட அனுமதித்தார்.
ஜெயலலிதாவுக்கு எதிராக ரஜினி வாய்ஸ் கொடுத்ததும் இந்த தேர்தலில்தான். எனவே முடிவுகள் எதிர்பார்த்தது போலவே வந்தது. திமுக – தமாகா கூட்டணிக்கு அமோக வெற்றி. அதிமுக படு தோல்வியடைந்தது.
ஆனாலும் ஒட்டப்பிடாரம் மக்கள் திமுக அணியையும் சேர்த்தே புறக்கணித்திருந்தனர். ஒற்றை ஆளாக சட்டசபைக்குப் போனார் கிருஷ்ணசாமி.
அப்போது முதல் ஒட்டப்பிடாரத்தைக் கெட்டியாகப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டார். ஆனால் உள்ளூர் காரராக இல்லாததும், சுயவளர்ச்சிக்காக அரசியலைப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்டார் என்ற குற்றச்சாட்டுகளும் நாளடைவில் ஒட்டப்பிடாரம் மக்களிடமிருந்து இவரை ஒதுக்கி வைத்துவிட்டன.
ஆனாலும் எந்த அதிமுக ஆட்சியை எதிர்த்து அரசியல் என்ட்ரியை நிகழ்த்தினாரோ, அதே அதிமுக-வுடன் சேர்ந்துதான் மீண்டும் ஒரு முறை எம்.எல்.ஏ ஆனார்.
அந்த இரண்டு ஐந்தாண்டுகளுடன் சரி, அதன் பிறகு நடந்த எந்த தேர்தலிலும் ஒட்டப்பிடாரம் இவருக்குக் கை கொடுக்கவே இல்லை.
