இதற்கிடையே காங்கிரஸ் மாவட்ட தலைவர் நவீன்குமாரைக் கைது செய்த கோட்டாறு போலீஸார் அவரை ஸ்டேஷன் ஜாமினில் விடுவித்துள்ளனர். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து எம்.ஆர்.காந்தி எம்.எல்.ஏ தலைமையில் பா.ஜ.க நிர்வாகிகள் கோட்டாறு காவல் நிலையம் முன்பு திரண்டு இன்று முற்றுகையிட்டனர்.
இதையடுத்து பா.ஜ.க-வினரிடம் போலீஸார் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தினார்கள். காங்கிரஸார் மீது கண் துடைப்புக்கு மட்டுமே வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றும், அவர்கள் மீது உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் பா.ஜ.க-வினர் கூறினார்கள்.
சம்பந்தப்பட்ட காங்கிரஸ் நிர்வாகிகள் மீது வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டதாக போலீஸார் கூறினார்கள். இதையடுத்து அங்கிருந்து கலைந்து சென்ற பா.ஜ.க-வினர் நாடாளுமன்ற எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவர் ராகுல் காந்தி உருவபொம்மையின் கழுத்தில் கயிற்றைக் கட்டி வடசேரி ஜங்சனில் உள்ள மின்கம்பத்தில் தொங்கவிட்டனர்.
இதை அறிந்து போலீஸார் அங்கு சென்று ராகுல் காந்தி உருவபொம்மையை மீட்டு எடுத்துச் சென்றனர். தேர்தல் நெருங்கும் நிலையில் குமரியில் பா.ஜ.க மற்றும் காங்கிரஸ் நிர்வாகிகளின் செயல்கள் அனலைக் கிளப்பி உள்ளன.
