Lighting a lamp is not a spiritual issue; it is a conspiracy by the BJP – G. Ramakrishnan's accusation!
G. Ramakrishnan, the All India Control Committee leader of the Marxist Communist Party in Tiruppur and former state secretary, met with journalists. Speaking then, he said, "Since November 21st, four labor law packages have been announced to come into effect, and Prime Minister Modi has praised these four law packages. Whenever Modi praises something, we must understand it negatively. All four of these law packages can turn working people into bonded laborers both in practice and in spirit. These law packages take away many rights gained through 150 years of struggle. Especially labor protection, health, and job security-related 13 laws have been repealed, and a new set of laws has been created. G. Ramakrishnan stated that in this set of laws, standing orders are not required for establishments with fewer than 300 employees. In India, 74 percent of factories operate with fewer than 300 employees. Closing these factories does not require government permission. Notably, the All India Construction Workers Welfare Board has Rs. 38,000 crore. There is no guarantee for the welfare board in these new four sets of laws. There are 1,200,000 cases pending in labor courts. Labor courts have been abolished in the new set of laws. It is unclear what will happen to these cases. None of these four bills address the Prevention of Sexual Violence against Women Act. What is the purpose of bringing these four bills? The Modi-led government is allied with corporate companies. This government has introduced these four labor bills in support of big corporate capitalists. Regarding the issue of G. Ramakrishnan lighting a lamp at Thirupparankundram, a case was filed in 1996, and in 2014 and 2017, the High Court Division Bench dismissed the request to light the lamp on the stone slab. A single judge cannot overturn the decision given by the full bench. A case is currently ongoing in the Supreme Court regarding this matter.
