A financial agreement was made between Exalogic, the company of Veena Vijayan, daughter of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and C.M.R.L, a sand factory company operating in Kochi, Kerala. கோட்டூளியில் உள்ள இல்லத்திற்கு அமலாக்கத்துறை அதிகாரிகள் சென்றபோது முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் முகமது ரியாஸ் வீட்டில் இல்லை. இதுகுறித்து முகமது ரியாஸ் தனது முகநூல் பக்கத்தில், “சுற்றிவளைத்து அடித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள், ஆனால் சங் பரிவாருக்கு முன்னால் ஒருபோதும் மண்டியிட மாட்டேன். கடைசி மூச்சு வரை போராடுவேன்” என தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
